Tulip Beauty Sunscreen Review

Tulip Beauty Sunscreen Review – I’m a strict sunscreen wearer 365 days a year, but this is a must for me in the spring and summer. Even though I wear sunscreen every day and have for most of my adult life, that doesn’t mean I’ve always enjoyed it. In fact, for years sunscreen formulations were terrible. Especially for the face. They were greasy, heavy, interfered with my makeup and just overall sick on my skin. Fast forward to today, where there are literally thousands of sunscreen options and many of them don’t even feel like sunscreen at all. They feel, act, and perform like a serum or moisturizer, making them more comfortable to wear, especially under makeup. Over the past year I’ve been slowly experimenting with smaller or new (to me) beauty brands, and I’ve discovered several products that are suddenly essential to my skincare routine.

I had seen reviews here and there on my social media about Bloom Effect Skin Care and was very intrigued. The brand reached out and sent me their cleansing balm to try and offered a discount code for my readers. I liked the cleansing balm, but I’ve seen the Tulip Dew Sunscreen Serum everyone is raving about, so I bought it myself to see what all the fuss was about. OMG – this totally blew me away and I totally got the hype! This is one of the most beautiful sunscreen products I have ever tried and would love to dedicate an entire blog post to it. Also, my discount code for Bloom Effects is still active and works on their entire site if you want to try the sunscreen for yourself. Use code: Maree for 20% off.

Bloom Effect Tulip Dew Sunscreen Serum is 100% mineral broad spectrum SPF 50. It protects against UVA and UVB rays, pollution, blue light and free radicals. They are light in color which slightly evens out the complexion and gives the skin a fresh radiant glow.

I love the brand’s signature blue packaging, and it has a pump dispenser that easily dispenses a dime-sized amount with a pump.

It’s a mid-range price point at $65 for 55ml (you can use my discount code: MARIE for 20% off!)

It’s a lightweight serum texture that feels incredibly moisturizing. I usually don’t need to use a moisturizer before this because the sunscreen serum keeps my skin hydrated.

It has a light peachy beige color which at first looked too dark for my pale skin. But after application, it is quite sheer and doesn’t look too dark on my skin. It helps even out the complexion slightly but doesn’t provide as much true coverage as a foundation.

The finish of this sunscreen serum is definitely brighter and more radiant. It settles a bit after application and doesn’t get greasy throughout the day. It also wears beautifully under makeup!

It’s designed for all skin types, although those with normal, dry or mature skin may prefer it a bit more. It has a dewy finish, which may not appeal to those with oily skin, so it’s definitely worth a mention. I have received feedback from followers on Instagram who have oily skin and love this formula, which I also wanted to share.

I transferred the serum to the back of my hand and applied it all over my face to give a fuller look to the finish. Initially, it is very dewy and shiny as shown on my hand, but it looks like a finishing touch on my face. It preps my skin well for makeup, and it’s become my favorite sunscreen to wear under makeup because of how well it applies over any foundation.

Although we are fully into spring and summer is fast approaching, I thought I would dedicate a blog post to 10 spring essentials.

If you’re someone who finds bronzers too scary and too intense for an everyday look, I’d like to spend more time reviewing all of the products I have as part of getting to know Mario Skin Enhancer’s Makeup Collection. Next up, Everything I Own from Bloom Effect, a great skincare brand that focuses on tulips. Hopefully this will be a great walk through of a good amount of what the brands have to offer – let me know if you’d like to try anything else!  I wanted to thoroughly review these products to give them a more detailed review, and I’ve gotten a ton of tire time out of them, so if you have any questions that I didn’t address, please ask in the comments. As always, thanks so much for being here and it would mean a lot to me if you subscribed here for new posts! Tulip Dew Vitamins and Minerals Sunscreen Serum SPF 50 – This was my gateway product to this brand and I’m glad I tried it. It’s a mineral sunscreen (I can’t wear chemical sunscreens so I’m always on the hunt for a great mineral sunscreen) that’s slightly pigmented and has a serum/oil texture very similar to Glossier Future Dew. This is one of my favorite sunscreens because it’s incredibly moisturizing, the sheer tint makes my skin look amazing, and it works well alone or under makeup. It’s really effective (based on wearing it in the summer in NYC with no issues). That said, it’s definitely not something I’d recommend for people with oily skin or unless you want something that makes your skin feel incredibly hydrated and dewy. I like it more in the winter because my skin is very dry, but I’ll definitely switch to some of my other sunscreens in the summer.

Royal Tulip Moisturizing Nectar – As much as I love all of these products, this one is my favorite. If I could only pick one to recommend, it would be this one because it’s so unique. It’s the most solid slugging product I’ve ever used – seriously, it’ll be on your face the next morning and you’ll notice it if you don’t wash it off. If I need extreme moisturization or know it’s going to be dry overnight, this is my go-to last step. It starts with a thick honey texture and becomes more of a serum texture as it warms on your skin (and therefore less sticky). My skin feels so soft and hydrated in the morning! I didn’t use it last night and it’s winter here and I can feel how dry and tight my skin is this morning and it definitely made a big difference that I used something else.

Royal Tulip Vitamin C Facial Oil – I’ve been looking for a new vitamin C product to replace Skinceuticals (which I love, but it’s too expensive). I really like it in terms of effectiveness, but it’s really meant for dry skin days. It’s obviously an oil, but it’s also incredibly hydrating, so I only use it when my skin is feeling particularly dry, and just moisturize it. Otherwise, it feels like my makeup is going on a very slippery base. I alternate between this and the Naturium Vitamin C Serum and I’m happy with both. If you’re looking for an effective vitamin C that’s incredibly hydrating, this is great, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with normal to oily skin unless you plan on using it at night.

It reminds me of Tulip Dew Drops – Make Beauty Reverse Emulsion and PSA The Most Serums – all of which work as moisturizers, primers, and foundations mixed with other products and are dewy but not wet. Or the sticky finish that makes everything better. They’re all like a super-sophisticated version of Glossier’s Future Dew, in that they’re super-luxurious enough to make your skin look and feel more hydrated than ever. If you have any other, you probably don’t need this, but if you’re looking for a dewy finish serum that feels great on your skin and you don’t have one yet, this one is great.
