When is the best time to see tulips? Will they bloom during my visit?
Tulips bloom from late March to early May. Depends on the weather each year; if spring is unseasonably warm, flowering may start earlier. If spring is delayed, so are the tulips. Around mid-March we usually get the feeling that the season is about to begin. We can recommend the Weekly Flower Update as an online resource. The best time to visit is generally April. Another good sign that tulips are blooming in the Netherlands is the opening of Keukenhof, which marks the start of tulip season.
