First of all, I have to say: “Yes, it is worth going to Keukenhof.” I went twice and it was amazing both times.
The flower displays are amazing. It was unlike anything I had seen before. All those colors! I was truly enchanted and even my husband enjoyed the day.
But there are some downsides to visiting Keukenhof. It is extremely touristic and full of people, which must have been a bit of a disappointment. If you visit in the evening or in the morning, you can avoid the crowds a bit.

Another thing I didn’t expect was the lack of real tulip fields. I was looking for nice photo opportunities walking in one of the tulip fields. However, tulips at Keukenhof tend to be in very small gardens and are limited.
So if you set your expectations right, you’re sure to love it! If you’re expecting real tulip fields, you might want to skip the Keukenhof Gardens.
